Modular Flying ATV for Security Forces Augmentation
Challenge ended
Description
Seeking a modular, autonomous flying vehicle capable of short takeoff and landing, designed to augment Security Forces across Global Strike Command with flexible payload integration and extended airborne endurance.
Overall Objective
The objective is to develop a fully autonomous or optionally piloted flying all-terrain vehicle (ATV) that can provide persistent airspace presence for base defense, counter-UAS operations, and reconnaissance. This system should be rapidly deployable, easy to operate, and adaptable to changing mission needs through a modular, payload-agnostic design.
Problem Statement
Global Strike Command requires a small-footprint, quickly deployable aerial platform to augment ground Security Forces in contested or remote environments. Current commercial off-the-shelf systems are often limited by integrated payload configurations, single-use roles, and complex operational requirements. To maintain secure airspace and enable rapid response, we need a flexible, endurance-prioritized flying ATV capable of hosting multiple payloads, including surveillance, counter-UAS, and other mission-specific tools, without requiring specialized operator training.
